Brunswick Darts and pre-Darts

I'm looking for some one that might help me put a value on these 2 sets of Brunswick balls. The older set is pre-Dart from the 20's. You can see that the #'s[which don't have the 'darts' yet] are in the stripes. They came to me in the Ivorylene Dart box so the original box was lost. The cue ball in this set is not original either. Its a 2 1/16 ivory cue ball. Probably from a snooker set.You can see they have some cracks and chips which probably diminishes their value somewhat. The other set is all original[I think], if they had small red dot cue balls. Its in excellent condition. No cracks or chips. The box has some stains and is a little ragged but considering how far they have come its lucky they still exist.Any input would be helpful and thanks. Don

The color of these balls are incredible for their age. I have no idea what the value of them are though. Very nice...

See how the dart balls have the numbers on the sides of the stripes? Ivorylenes that were pre dart also have the number on the sides. Your other set is probably Hyatt or Brunswick Empire balls; Compo Ivory balls had the pencil thin numbers, but the Empire balls were not consistent to some had thin numbers and looked like Compo Ivory balls. Someone is probably going to post that Empire balls were an all red set. Well, they also came in an all red Empire set. If the white components of the balls have an amber tinged color, they are Empire balls if no darts. The large numbers on your non dart set indicate that they are Brunswick, with the exception that Hyatt made a large number set called Peerless. These were very early Hyatt balls that at one time had smooth round numbers instead of the clipped, athletic font numbers seen here. See how it gets confusing?

Nice job bumping a post from 2009!

The bumping was incidental, true thread bumping is done by those bumping their own posts for selfish reasons, for the most part. I saw this thread online and decided to share what I know. I hope this helps someone who needs it.
