Brunswick Dealer that charges reasonable prices??

Does anyone know of a Brunswick Dealer that sells replacement parts at a reasonable price? I am looking for new leather pockets for my Brookstone II table in Black or Espresso (color TBD) and my local dealer is charging more than 2-3x what an aftermarket set would cost. I expect to pay more for a Brunswick part, but I am looking for a better deal than catalog pricing. Does anyone have any recommendations? Maybe I should have lead with this; I want the pockets to say Brunswick on them. If Brunswick does not have their name on the pocket, I may as well buy aftermarket. Can anyone verify that their new pockets do have the Brunswick name?

Thank,
Greg

the old tables didnt have a label on the pockets. newer ones did. does your have them.?

but if the knockoffs are higher quality you might as well get them. you have a nice table but not an expensive one.

dealers usually sell for msrp as they have to by the manufacturer. unless they are having a sale.

I do have labels on my pockets. I will probably just go with my local dealer unless I want lower cost aftermarket.

I appreciate everyone’s input.

Dumb question... I'm used to commercial tables since the 90's. I rarely recall a pocket ever failing on those. What happens with the home tables and people are often asking for pockets? The OP's table looks modern from perhaps the 1990's or 2000's, not a 100 year old antique. Do they wear out, break apart, color fade, dry rot, etc? How do they fail?

I don't know about Brunswick but on an Olhausen the leather can get "cut" where balls contact the back of the pocket if you shoot hard a lot. The leather gets crushed/cut between the CB and the pocket iron. I had this issue with a used table, luckily I noticed and read about it before it started damaging balls. I just contact cemented an additional piece of leather over the cut. It didn't look horrible but it depends on how much you nitpick and try to make it look good.

IIRC some tables use a double layer of leather in contact areas but Olhausen did not. If you notice the cuts definitely address it soon as it can damage balls.

everything wears out over time from hard use. just have to get it fixed or reconditioned.

most just live with the little things. as why not.

In my case, mine were a golden oak color that I was not found of and i recently restained the the table improving the looks significantly so I decided to replace the pockets. The original pockets were getting pretty stiff and the table was previous in front of a window and a couple of the pockets were starting to bleach out.

I ended up order the B'Wick pockets. I will know in a week if it is a waste of money or not, but I do like having OEM equipent at least for these types of parts. I am putting Championship Tour cloth on the table so I am not 100% original, but that cloth is an upgrade in general - at least in my opinion.

How much are the B'wick version?

The very title of this thread is an oxymoron
That's for sure. They are Not A Good Neighbor or On Your Side. A Brunswick dealer locally to me in Pa wanted $900 to change a cloth on a bumper pool table...said it's very complicated. I should send them a thank you gift...that encouraged me to DIY for less than $200...and that included the cloth and cushions. Came out fine and I learned a lot.

I'm guessing B'wich gets twice what un-logo'd pockets cost. Most aftermarket leather pockets are in the 250-300range.

I gave thought to putting drops on the GC4. I’m not sure why I did not follow through. Maybe they (OEM) where not available. They were not cheap.

They were more than Aftermarket, but not completely terrible. Before tax they were a tad under $400 thru my local dealer.
