This Just popped up. It’s the Brunswick booth at the expo talking about all the changes and new things about the gold crown 7. Enjoy!

The Brunswick guy (Nick Baron, President of the Brunswick Billiards Group) sounds really candid and like knows what' he's talking about. That's a very good sign.
Really the best video I’ve seen so far for all the Brunswick fans.,

The video we are waiting for is to drop a ball in the pocket so we can hear how loud the ball return system is.

At that price, I hope they somehow deafened the sound.

i posted the video in the other thread and also asked this question
this has probably been posted on a prior page
but have not gone thru the whole
question for the crowd
in the video the brunswick rep says just for the gc vll the cushions are artemis not superspeed
does that make them play short like the diamonds
and or does the gc vll have the rail angle/height etc set like the diamond table?

As said in the other thread , the cushions are made by Artemis but are a slightly different design and only fit the GC7

Diamond will always be the benchmark.

Every table brand there is will always be...... does it play like a Diamond -or- how do they play compared to a Diamond.

Brunswick cost is going to deter a lot of people and pool rooms who recently bought a bunch of Diamonds.

Play like Brunswick to me is fast and big pockets.

I would not hit a hog in the behind with a ball return system. And I would not so employ a "blocking" mechanism to cause a ball return system to function as a drop pocket. Brunswick completely missed the boat on this.

Properly framed, the question is not "does it play like a Diamond" but rather "does it play like a Gold Crown".

There is a video of Savannah Easton having her gold crown diamonized as they called it. The GC 7 was built with input from several players, Savannah was one of those players. I'm betting the 7 plays like a diamond.

with regards to your first statement above
to me its sad but true that diamond tables have become the standard table used today
just like now no one cares about a cue by gus /scruggs/tasc etc pick your cuemaker from the cuemakers hall of fame
today the young players want a cuetec or predator cue or something similar
as for your second statement
play like a brunswick to me means the rails perform closer to the billiard systems which the diamonds do not
they need more adjustments
the big pockets can be modified like on my home table where i had the rails extended and the pockets are 4.25 inch

I was looking at the previous Gold Crown here and at $17K+ CDN it was above my budget. I opted for a Black Crown and the table looks and plays good for my liking and a solid table for the money.

😳 gold crowns have all had ball returns as an option. Why would you limit the audiences of who you’re selling a table to by only having drop pockets. What’s exactly wrong with making a blocking mechanism so you can have both. Seems to make sense to me
