Wow I actually found a decent table for sale in Idaho! I think he may be asking to much for it though. He wants $1800 for it. What should I offer him?

Says he purchased it 5 years ago from an employee at a Brunswick store.
Just from doing research looks like this table is worth about $1000-$1200.

That would be about the right price, 1,200 would be on a stretch, but it is a decent table compared to what you have been looking at.

I am going to take a look at it tomorrow. I doubt I could move this thing myself but I hate to have to pay someone to do it. Are they that bad to take apart? I am pretty mechanical savvy (sp) not spelling though!

Not bad to take apart, 3 piece slate each weighing about 200 pounds.

The medalist is a cheaper version of the GC3's.

What do you think would be a reasonable offer?
What he's asking for, is higher than most GC's...he's asking $1,800? Here...let me answer your question...with a question...LOL

Hey guys...you got a choice between a 9ft Medalist for $1,800...OR......a GC4 for $1,500.00....which one is a better deal...if they were both being sold for $1,500.00???

Glen

Is that really a question? lol! not even a choice between the two.
1800 is high. in the wanted forum there is a person trying to sell
g.c 3s at 1400. and cant seem to give them away! The medalist is a decent table made as a home version of the g.crown. much lighter
frame, finished wood rail versus formica.cheaper ball return. In
this market 1000.00 tops.

Thanks a lot guys. He will get an offer for $1000! Im sure he will flip because here in Boise people are VERY proud of their tables! I called on a table yesterday that just said 8' on Craigslist and they wanted $1000 for it, turns out it is a Mizerak!

In So Ca you won't find a used Gold Crown for under $3000.

The problem with that price, is once the tables been moved/setup/recovered...it's cost now hits right up around 3,500 to $4,000...which promotes the sale of new tables. I can see that price if it includes the deliver/setup/recovery...but not from seller to buyer.

Got the table tonight for $900! Im happy.. Delivery and refelt is $300.

Congrats plshrk22! the medalist is not a bad table at all. That delivery and refelt price is also on the cheap (as long as its done right, cheap does not mean good sometimes).

Cant wait to get it in! To bad it has to go in the garage...
You got a good table for the price, I'll check it out when I'm in your area in the next week or so.

Yeh that would be great. I wish I could have you refelt it with Simonis 860 but since the guy is already moving it he is doing the felt for cheaper.

Table

I was looking around at Medalists on the Web and I could not find one that had the same leg setup as the one I purchased. Apposed to the 2 Leg setup on the traditional looking Medalist this has 4 1'x1' legs on each corner. Nothing special about them, just big square wood legs. I am wondering if this table has been modified? Table is level and it great shape. The only problem is that the seems are showing on the top but it has been sitting there for about 10 years untouched, no new slate, nothing.

I have never seen a medalist with post legs as you describe. They come with the same base as the gold crown but without the leveler feet on the bottom of the pedistals. Sounds as if someone did modify the table, I could be wrong though, just that I have never seen one either.

The Medalist only came with the GC style of legs, are you sure this table isn't a Brunswick Century??? Or Medalist rails on a Century frame? I'm kind of bothered by this..as you want me to move and set up the table.
