I am curious as to where this company is in regards to billiards these days.
I don't see them involved much in tournaments or promotion, I doubt they sell many tables to new rooms because there are none and I doubt they sell many overseas because of the knock off's so whats the story?

you could always ask them -

imo, what you see is what you get.
if they really wanted to dominate the billiard world, they could, they have the "resources" and the "brand power" to do so.

but does it look like they are?

nope.

so what does that tell you?

Brunswick has a lot of competition in its other - growing - lines of business like exercise equipment and boating. Why put your resources into dominating a declining market when you've got growing markets?

The upside is that Brunswick's inattention to billiards provided Diamond a great opportunity to establish itself in the market.

Nobody is getting rich in the table manufacturing department (including Diamond)...with the possible exception of some of the Chinese companies (because they have a captive market of 100,000,000 potential customers). It's a down market, and all companies are struggling. Diamond has postioned themselves worldwide, with providing tables to several of the Asian events, and most, if not all of the significant events. Whether that is because Brunswick "let go" of the opportunity, or didn't care, I don't know. Either way, good for Diamond!
