BSCP vs. Alex..this is the video,,judge for yourself

It's a reaction after pocketing the winning ball. How different is it had he pumped his fist or jumped with joy? If you have a disdain for expressing emotions, feel free to propose a rule in pro tours that players are not to show any reaction else it will be a loss of game. Let's see how far it gets. If it does, pool will will be dry and boring to watch - 2 people poking balls around a table. BTW, there should be no audio either. It's too distracting. Million dollar sponsors will come pouring money in. ;)

Chill out bro, they are all Efren nuthuggers here!

Wait a second... Everyone check out this post by Fanthom in response to a thread I started...

He said to me... "You seem to be a nice but rather naive fellow perhaps rather new in the pool world." He called me naive and at the time my first reaction was to say something back to him but I told myself... who cares if this guy think I am naive? Even if you don't think the comment was warranted and I didn't say anything.

Fanthom...:D I apologize  for my post in this thread:p by not clearly making it more:) obvious I was being sarcastic. I'll try to add ;) more smiley's at key points:o in my comments. in the future.

Check out Efren at the end of this video! Totally unacceptable! Why do we allow this guy to play pool? WHY?!?! It's pool, not a dance competition Mr. Reyes.

A little jiggling unacceptable? He's the one on the table man!

How bout breaking cue sticks, threatening/almost hitting an an opponent? And the lists goes on...?

Efren is one of the mild mannered players in the history of pool!

 wow, just wow

magnum I was joking about the Efren comment. "It's not a dance competition Mr. Reyes?" Efren is my favorite player.

I think it's ridiculous the reason they say they booted Alex from the team. Anyone with any reason can see that there are reasons behind it. You think they would have booted Efren or Busta if they had done something similar?

Maybe because Alex is young and hasn't lived in the Phillipines his entire life... they don't really consider him an equal?

^my personal opinion would be they want more players from the bugsy stable.. if not why pick deluna? there are more better players replacing alex..not deluna :D

At least you cleared it up with my idol. Sorry DP...

As with Alex...I'm having hard time giving an opinion. He is though one of the finest cue artist in this generation. I hope this little misunderstanding could be immediately fixed.

Was it even necessary for BSCP to give any reason at all for replacing Alex? After all it was not like Alex won the Singapore leg or any leg that matters. And there is certainly no lacking of talented and qualified pool players in the Philippines.

I just hope someone else will win instead of letting the Taiwanese make a clean sweep.

^with what they did.. they have just increased the winning chances of taiwanese players and possibly a sweep.. look at the previous legs.. i think jeff de luna didnt even make it to the brackets :)

I think BSCP just made matters worst by trying to justify their actions. Unless those people has never watched Alex play before in their entire life, they should know thats how he is and thats what made him endearing to his fans.

If all the players are going to adhere to such rules and regulation and not allow themselves to show any human emotions then we might as well watch robots play pool. Or cartoons play pool.

That's actually the scary thing about it; they can change their decision on the "whim."

sorry if this point was made already but if not, wasnt alex replaced by jeff de luna? who is AT LEAST as animated as alex.they both have the same kind of happy go lucky type behavior at the table which i tend to enjoy.if you havent seen him play then you should if you get a chance, awesome player with a nasty break(one of the best ive seen).

What? they replaced Alex (a happy go lucky guy) for Jeff (another happy go lucky guy) ? I thought the BSCP doesn't like a happy-go-lucky kind of behaviour? what kind of travesty of justice is this?

Now, the question here is why DJ Fajardo made such lame excuse for the ouster of Alex. if it weren't true that he said such thing, why didn't he filed a libel case against those who falsely accused and publicized such matters, since it would actually destroy the organization's image. instead an email was sent to one particular sports journalist defending rather cover-up what was previously stated by DJ Fajardo, as to put out the flame caused by such statements. as was mentioned on the latter letter, it is most likely that the BSCP had indeed failed to notify Alex properly, as it was suppose to do as a recognized pool organization to do the right procedure as well. this was more of an appropriate reasoning than those previous statements made by Mr. Fajardo. but again, the question of why such punishment? the only explanation that the BSCP could present was a technical one, such as "the BSCP has the prerogative to change it's line-up". they have to resort on going to the books just to justify their actions. they are indeed sounded more of a corporation just by stating that. are we going to see history repeats itself?

So if Alex was wrong in this one, I believe the likes of Efren, Django and other pool players were spoiling this little guy then for supporting him. otherwise they should have kept a mum on that matter.

new announcement...

((;) )) BSCP just made an announcement;) :o  ,,,they said that although they are the pool governing body in the Phil.,they are not familiar with Alex behaviour on pool matches , so when they saw what he did in that match,,they are absolutely sure this a disrespect to the game and an embarrassment to the epicenter of pool...and also concerning busty and efren being recorded screaming, dancing and cursing esp. busty the word"put....ina".... ,,they said that they would have banned them also from representing the epicenter of pool...;) ;) (( all sarcasm))

you know,,,this is just going to get bitter and worst...lawsuits have been filed alraedy....alex getting nasty text messages and even threats to bhis safety...so on and so on....

...boy,,i guess BSCP"s naiveness on how to lie and spin things has really opened up a pandoras box that now nobody wanted....

....

EXACTLY right, MasterClass! I agree with you 100 percent.

The video clip shows the audience engaged, watching Alex, laughing, having a good time, being entertained, at the same time as watching a great match of pool.

This is what I see as a big problem today with pool on television in the United States. Too many robots with Buckingham Guard personalities and not enough HUMAN EMOTION!

Thanks for stating the TRUTH. :)
