Bucktooth And Keith Over The Years

Matt, I have to say that actually does look like me! You're a pretty good cartoonist, man. The funny thing about that picture is that when I was wearing a shirt like that and could back it up, I offered Earl the last two. Earl turned it down. I don't know if he turned it down because he didn't want to knock his action or just maybe he couldn't win. :D

Hey Keith,

Bobby Pickle is one of my closest friends. I know you two go way back. I once asked Bobby who the best money player he ever saw play was and without hesitation he said Keith McCready.

No disrespect to Earl who's A game is scary as hell. Just thought I'd pass on that comment from a guy who knows what he's talking about.

Regards,
Jim

I got you covered JAM, I'll give him some good reps for some great cartoons.

Thanks so much. I'm going to now give you rep for repping Matt! :p

And then I'm going to rep Matt after I rep you! :D

I just learned yesterday that the rep I give is special! :p

As soon as I finish my morning AzBilliards reading, I will be perusing my pictures on my other computer, and after I choose the coolest ones, they will be sent you immediately! ;)

I was hanging out at the end of Splash Bar, sort of by the Bathrooms and Bucktooth was there. Hell I didn't even know it was him. But man, he had everyone laughing and joking. Seemed like a charming guy and a great entertainer. I wish I had known it was him, I'd have liked to have shaked his hand. I grew up in a tiny town. After reading Playing off the Rail, Bucktooth was like this larger than life character that stuck out in my mind.

Anyway, now I know. thanks Jam for the pic.

Great tee shirt:D :D :D All those drawings are great and funny, good work!!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note I promis everyone that if Keith would have been in Tooth's spot this last January he would have had the balls to flip the coin. Keith has a zillion times more gamble than Tooth ever will.

Nobody on the planet has as much Gamble as Bucktooth he will bet everyone when he plays he just doesn't FLIP COINS he showed all the gamble in the world when he said he would roll the ball on the Keno board at the DCC and fat watched but chickened out and one of the players on Bucktooth left won the money in the game before the police took the board. Bucktooth has more gamble in his little finger than Fat Boy will ever have.....

the tooth

once met bucktooth - was introduced by his dad charlie who owned a pool hall in alameda. he didn't like bein' called bucktooth back in the 70s. we shot a little nine ball on his tight pocketed gold crown at the 2 story place in castro valley. think maybe won most games - but in retrospect, he was maybe layin' down.

then we played some one pocket. he played one handed. he is to this day, the best one handed player have ever seen. did not even win once.

one time at his dad's place, some lame was givin' me a bunch of crap wanting to only play for more than was in my pockets. charlie called his son who promptly came over in his queen elizabeth rolls royce, and lined the table with 100 dollar bills. the guy peed & in the process charlie banned him from ever coming back in.

they were a nice family, in fact some of the nicest people have ever known.

Ok. I'm a youngun here and was in diapers in the 70s... the LATE 70s.

Can someone explain to me why they call him Bucktooth? I mean, in these pictures it doesn't look like he has buck teeth.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

He can eat apples through a picket fence. Edit---should have read the posts first.

Great drawings Matt

That's funny! I love it! :)

Keith really does love Earl Strickland like a brother, as long as he doesn't have to play him!

Earl is always very nice to Keith and me when we see him at tournaments. He always comes up to me and gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. What's not to like about Earl? I feel honored to have him as our friend.

I was at the Derby last week and a few of us were sitting at a table, talking about Earl. A lot of people have an impression that Earl is always an ass. I have had several conversations with him thru the years, and he has always been very nice. I have seen him heated up during a match, and do some things that I totally hate to see from anyone..... And if you talk about professional pool with him, away from the table.... you better be prepared. He will get extremely heated while voicing his opinion. But all in all, he's a good person from what I seen, and really wants pool to become a mainstream sport.
