Buffalo's Billiards, 2 thumbs up

I was just recently in New Orleans for Jazz Fest (basically a 2 week party of incredible music, great food and tons of booze) and was lucky enough to make it over to Buffalo's Billiards for a couple days. Now, this is my kind of poolroom.

I walk into the room and before I can finish my $1.25 Heineken (I'm from NYC where they're about $8 a pop), three guys have already come over, introduced themselves and asked me if I want to play some. No hassles, no pool detectives.. down there they just want to play.

A 24 hour room, dirt cheap cold beer, all levels of players like to gamble anywhere from 20 a game to bet what you want, some good tight Diamond tables, and everyone I met was a total gentleman. I just wish I had more time to play down there.

Oh, and most importantly, they love one pocket! The only game a banger like myself can play. :smile:

Buffalo's is the place to play. As you found out the main reason why is the people there although there are other nice things also. Every time I step through the door I feel like I have stepped back in time fifty years.

Buff's is a bit of a drive for me but if I don't have time to play there I don't have time to play. I pass by several other pool halls along the way to get there.

Now that is what I am talking, ShootingArts, Buffalo Billiards is a great place to play pool. And Timdog24 won the big Saturday tournament. He plays great 9 ball! And he is a good guy. And he is a member of the world famous Lock Society.
