Good question. You gonna be in Vegas this year? Heading there next Saturday for 2 weeks
Any pool tourney. You can’t shit out often enough to win at pool. Chess is the sameA Chris Moneymaker does not win Buffalo’s.
Ever.

This is a Deja Vu back to discussions from 20 years ago…that is the big problem with pool. the best monopolize all the money. they need to change the games or rules in such a way as lesser players can win or at least get into higher payoffs. otherwise its doomed to be what it is now. and cannot grow. in this country.
they did that with the poker and it bloomed into a monster. and have a following of other than just hard core high stakes players.
and have growing events as more cant wait to get in for a shot at a big payoff.

Hearsay -->Joshua Filler played Scotch Captains—I still don't understand what that means fully—with LilJon and Robbie Langford a fortnight ago. Filler was spotting them, I think, 11-6, and LilJon and Robbie took turns shooting in each game. Filler won the first game, but then LilJon and Robbie won every game thereafter, scoring, subject to check, 1,700.
I haven't seen the one-pocket yet, but the one-ball Calcutta was shared on Facebook.i have a feeling he will snap it off. he says himself that it's his favorite game, and he went there on a mission
is the calcutta published yet?
Lou, check your pool history. Ronnie Allen won the Cochrans One Pocket circa 1963. The rest is history. Keith Thompson AKA Young Squirrel won Johnson City circa 1971. Never won another title. And some guy named Caesar Morales won Reds Circa 1984. The rest is history. By the way he went for $5 in the Calcutta. WOW.
the calcutta for the main event is at 6 pm their time tonight with the tourney starting after the calcuttai have a feeling he will snap it off. he says himself that it's his favorite game, and he went there on a mission
is the calcutta published yet?
So that means the first match might come on the stream at about 10pm est?Today is the day that all one-pocket fans have been eagerly anticipating.

Nice post fb.Any pool tourney. You can’t shit out often enough to win at pool. Chess is the same
Poker anyone can win so magnitudes more people enter tourneys and as you know the entry fees are higher because nobody is really dead money in a poker tourney. Most entrants have some winning chances, some much better than others-but nobody is dead money.
85% of entrants are dead money in a pool tourney depending on prize $ distribution. Could be higher or lower. Most ppl are 100% dead money. So why play? Keep reading…
This is also why Derby has low entry fees. As it’s affordable for the dead money to play. Losing $100-$200 to have a chance to play top players is really the draw for 85-90% the player field, nobody is expecting to win(just a hand full of guys)
