Bummed-case stolen tonight

Don't give up hope. I was at Jillian's in Boston and put my leather jacket on a chair and was shooting pool. Went back to the chair at one point and the jacket was gone. Left my name and number with the management and 2 days later I got called that someone turned the jacket in. He left an apology note in the inside jacket pocket, right next to the $100 winning lottery scratch off ticket I had left in there.

Maybe this guy thought he was picking up his friends case, which he wouldn't be as familiar with, and was just moving to another table. That's sort of what it looks like in the video... one guy carrying the balls and the other grabbing the cues. I hope you get your stuff back and there is a happy ending.

I have played at Jillians, that place is a zoo on the weekends, I could see how that happened, Boston Billiard club is more my style, glad you had your jacket retrurned.:grin-square:

I have been following this thread, I hope the case is returned.

Nobody recognizes these guys? Probably not pool players. Just trash in off the street.

Best,
Mike

Letting Go

Guys-thanks.

I'm done with this-I'm writing it off. If it comes back-truly a bonus.

There's a police report filed/with pics and videos.

Last night at league-I showed everyone the videos and pictures. Many play in bar leagues in the area-so maybe more eyes out will produce something. I emphasized that I just want my gear back. No questions. Reward.

I lost 3 of 4 last night. I have to get this out of my head. So, I can lose 3 out of 4 on my own, without the distraction of this mini-drama.

There are so many things around us much more important than my lapse in vigilance.

If something good happens, I'll let you guys know.

Take care

If a video clip shows them actually picking up your case from where you put it, this would be your guy. If this is the only clip you have, very possible the guy could have had a case like yours. Clip is too short to tell. If you actually saw the whole thing and posted this to show what the guy looks like, understood.

Just a thought. You actually have the date and time. The guy just walked over with a rack. If they started a tab at about the time they got the rack, and closed out and paid with a credit card later, you should be able to match the time to the payment and get a receipt with the name. I would think you could get that in the hands of the authorities and they could inquire as to the address and contact info of the perpetrator and you might get your stuff back. Every credit card statement is time and date specific. Just a thought if you are inclined to dig a little bit more.
