Predator themselves right here say they use Loctide 495.
Since I first saw this video a year ago I've been doing it like that and really like the results.
No effect on the hardness of the tip and no mushrooming. Best of both worlds.
Spit and rolling the edge on the pool table to get that shine.
black markerThe point is: I have no problem getting it very shiny with only spit or water. But it tends to fluff up rather quickly. I love to have the burnished tip look, how can I get it to stay like this longer. (Kamui clear black)
I get it makes the edge dark black, but I don't see how this would keep leather from fuzzying..?black marker
The burnishing does that, I think the ink just seals it a bit.I get it makes the edge dark black, but I don't see how this would keep leather from fuzzying..?
I use that method with a $20 bill. Superstition?Nothing needed but a paper towel. Lick your thumb, and run it up the tip at the sides. Then turn it around in the paper towel, pretty good force for 15 seconds to a half minute. Do this after every time you play. No wizard potions or equipment needed.
Not superstition at all. I've heard others say a paper bill does the trick as well. I like a slightly softer paper towel than a bill, with more turning force to burnish.I use that method with a $20 bill. Superstition?
Where’s cowboy at? Looked for that thread from measureman to bump it the other day but didn’t find it.I use that method with a $20 bill. Superstition?
I've tried all the denominations from 1 to 100 dollar bills. The 1 dollar bill from 2011 by far works the best.I use that method with a $20 bill. Superstition?
you used to use a flat file.I slide mine back and forth on the rail (without spit).

I slide mine back and forth on the rail (without spit).
Still do - file to trim, rub to burnish.you used to use a flat file.
Lil spit ain't going to hurt nothin. The first time anyone does that on my pool table will also be the last time. Jesus, get a scrap of wool and glue it to something, don't get your spit on a table, don't polish the cloth.
