For anyone who doesnt know most auctioneers will take absente bids for people who want to make a bid before the auction starts and some auction houses have live on the phone bidders...As far as shipping the cue that would have to be discused with the auction house...I have made many absente bid on local auctions and they call me if I win the item...I dont know anything about this auction so you would have to call the auctioneer and speak with him...

I think iam going to attend . at least they wont be giving it away!

I didn't see all the cues but I saw a crap load of Richard Blacks.. like I said, this guy was just firing barrels... at everything... like a blind hunter in a yard full of turkeys...

BTW I see a purple heart Hoppe in the last group photo...

Can anyone who went to the first auction speak to the prices? Did the cues go for significantly less than they would have gone for on ebay or in the for sale forum? Seems as if 1 or 2 ppl pretty much outbid everyone else so might be pointless if looking for deals..

There were a few good deals at the first auction. However, when you add the buyers premium and then tack on the sales tax, what initially sounded like a good deal perhaps is not. There are so many people that are aware of the 2nd auction, that I highly doubt there will be very many good deals. I'll go, but more out of morbid curiosity.

I would almost bet that the Centennial style case with the tooling has a matching Richard Black cue somewhere....

Thanks for the posting. It was a wonderful walk down memory lane.
I played on several of Burts teams and have test hit or played with most of those cues. I always admired Burt's character and miss him terribly.

Since I can't see it that well. What's in the box???? I didn't see it in the pictures.
