i have a cuemaker who has a couple of burtons old blanks...does anyone have any ideas on value of blanks...they are four point blanks....i was thinking about having him make me a cue out of one but we both have know idea what would be a fair quote on the blank before he makes the cue...thanks in advance mickey carroll i dont have any pics but i do know that he got them directly from burton...they are not signed...

Not sure who your cuemaker is, but unless he is top tier, I don't think he should be finishing the blanks.

Just as a guess, I would think the blanks have to be worth @1000 assuming they are legit.
 
thanks for the info...and they are legit....he said he got them from burton in the early 80s...i am quite sure that he wouldnt just sell me the blank but would be willing to make a cue for me since i put a order in with him...
 
A couple of years ago Ernie Gutierrez found about 7 old short splice blanks he had purchased from Burton in the 1970s. I sold 4 of them on eBay before I stopped and had Ernie build them into cues. The blanks that I sold on eBay went for right about $1000. Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

One of the buyers that purchased one of the Burton Spain blanks I had did contact Joel about making a cue from one and Joel told him he was no longer interested in using anyone else's splices but his own.
