Bustamante cue?

Does anyone know what cue Francisco Bustamante shoots with? I've heard he shoots with a Diveney and I've heard that he shoots with a Boar. Does anyone have any information or details on his cue setup? Thanks in advance.

I remember him saying (I think from a TAR podcast) that he's shot with a boar since when he lived in Germany.

Interesting, I always thought he shot with a custom cue. Not that it really matters, was just curious. Do they have LD shafts with their cues or is he using a conventional shaft?

Busty has stated many times that he does NOT like LD shafts. He learned how to use/control deflection with reg. shaft at a young age. He's played the Bear line since around 2000-ish.

It would be interesting, if anyone knows, how many of the Pinoys use a LD.
I know Efren and Busty don't really care for them, but Alex does.

Alex has been using a solid wood shaft on his Carmeli for quite a while.

In my recent observations, only some of the PI younger guns have started to use LD.

Efren and Busty, as mentioned, prefer solid maple. So does Lee Van (Diveney cue with original shaft).

Biado defineitely uses a Pred shaft (I think also a Diveney cue, but am not 100%), as does Ignacio - he had an original 314.

Chua is a young guy and he plays with a sweet ebony SW.

I didn’t pay attention to what DeLuna plays with. I know Roberto Gomez also has his “Superman” Diveney, but I’m not sure of which shaft he uses either.

Thanks, I thought he was using a LD.
Alex was using a Predator Vantage shaft at the derby city classic last year. He played against a friend of mine. I got a picture with him and he was holding his cue in it and you can clearly see the Predator/Vantage logo in the picture.

Gomez is currently playing with a Cohen cue with a predator V or 3 shaft . Deluna is sponsored by mezz, last few tournaments I saw Alex at he was using a newer predator shaft or mezz, he was switching between the two. For awhile he was playing with carmelli maple shaft
Tapered like the ob shaft he used to play with when he was sponsored by ob. These guys will play world class pool with a wallabushka.

Yeah, this is what I remember him using. I'm sure by this time next year, we'll be seeing him with a Revo...

I think James Aranas was using one (Revo)last week.

Anyone know what Warren is using...? I thought he was a LD guy as well.

Pretty sure Warren is still using a Tiger cue. Same cue that Orcollo was using during his tenure with Tiger.

For sure Pagulayan, Gomez, and Biado use the Vantage now or at one time in the not so distant past. Pretty positive a Vantage shaft was used when Biado won the world 9 ball title in January. Deluna is still with Mezz and I saw Aranas using a Mezz as well when he played in the MD state barbox championships a few months ago. Lots of the Filipino pro's are using LD shafts as I am suspecting the custom cue world to not be as prevalent in the Philippines as it is in the US.
