A new person on the forum with no iTrader feedbacks should (I would hope) understand that they don't have a reputation to show they can be trusted and if they don't agree to ship first and then get paid, as you suggest, then i'd pass on dealing with them. Once they've made a few good deals and have established some positive iTrader feedbacks then they won't have to deal this way. You have to start somewhere to establish trust and this is the best way to do it. If the person is honest and they see the buyer has numerous positive iTrader feedbacks from other members I don't see why shipping first and then getting paid would be a problem. Most of us have worked hard to establish our reputations on this forum and we'd never throw our reputations away to shaft someone on a cue deal.

I'm with you 100% on this. It wasn't that long ago that I was new to this forum. I remember understanding that if anyone wanted to make a deal with me, as long as they were reputable, I made sure it was on their terms. It's completely understandable to be hesitant of a new individual, especially in an anonymous setting such as an internet forum.
I personally remedied this by starting out buying a few slots in raffles and paying promptly. It was only after I established that I could/would pay for what I promised before I even considered going further and doing trades, and even running a raffle of my own.
I guess all I'm saying is you have to have a starting point. If your first post is hi, here's this item I have for sale, no one on here knows me, but I want money from you, then people are going to be skeptical. But if you present yourself in an honest manner, show people you are true to your word, your dealings with people on these forums will go much smoother.
Just my 2 cents from all I've read here. To the OP, I'm sorry to have seen this happen, I know I would be upset, as would most any of us here. GL with getting your issue resolved.
