Buying a 6x3 English Billiard table

Due to room size restraints on me and my girlfriends home I have been considering buying a 6x3 English Pool table with smaller balls and tighter pockets . I have heard that playing English Pool will help your game greatly. This is the Table Darrin Appleton has played on most his life. Only Problem is that a mid range table will cost about $1100 US. Would anyone recommend buying one of these or should I just wait until we move and by an 8ft or 9ft Diamond? Or is their another 6ft real slate table option? Thanks.

I'd prob wait, but a small table like that might fit with the new one too.

there was a bar in parker az, on the colorado river that has a normal bar box, and an old antique coin operated 3 by 6 table with regular size balls, its fun to play on, but i think the best all around size is a 4 by 8.

I have a 6' ''Olhausen'' up in my loft....

I think it's the ''Davenport'' model,,,great table,,,drop pockets with a single slate bed,,,,I found mine on Ebay but they'll make any of their tables in 6' model,,,,also,,check Ebay for some great deals and Craigslist,,,,,,

You can't beat having your own table at home........

Mark Selby, number one ranked snooker player, was 2006 WEPB World Eight-ball Champion. The table is 7' x 3 1/2', balls 2", cue ball 1 7/8", cues are 8.5 mm..

Conclusion?
Won't help you on a 7', 8', 8.5', 9' or 10' pool table, but when you find a 12 foot snooker table you will be a god.
