Looking for similiar deals. If I have to I will buy on ebay but prefer to buy some here. I have several auctions in my bookmark one of them has a beautiful set for $27 with free shipping and I'll try to win it, however If anyone has a set here for a low price let me know, used is fine as long as theyre not chipped.

Let me know what you have! I have beautiful marble balls in the for sale section.. check them out I am willing to trade those for cent/aramith + cash.

I am not looking for $40-$50 sets of cent or aramith, due to the fact that ebay has them for less. just posting here to check both markets.

Watch those auctions for the cent's.....they will not sell for less than $50.00 for sure. You can be sure ebay won't have them "for less". If you were offered a $50.00 set of cent's I would beware it's too low of a price.

I got a chip free set right on here on the forum for $40 plus shippinggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.:grin::grin:
You can slightly feel the number area on some of the balls with your finger.
I don't know how they would play. :shrug:They are available to any one who wants them for what ever reason.. I am told they are older design. They have smaller darts then my other ones but not dots.
They could be good collectors. I know they are worth $5 a piece as balls to be autographed. Way cooler then the China cueballs for $5. :o
Wish I could have got them in time for the Open.:deadhorse:
Anyway $67 firm delivered with DC#, if anyone wants them.

Those are not Centennials!

Aramith Crown is the bottom line that Aramith makes. They are not Super Pro or even Pemiers.
You really ought to do some research.

Why would someone pay $50 for used ones when you can get them new for the same price? + or - $9

http://www.billiards.com/billiard-balls/crown-standard-ball-set

Brand new set $59 + free ship

The reason some one would pay that amount is because of the quality of the balls. The cheaper the balls the more friction / wear marks on the cloth where they are used. The balls pictured in your link are the lowest quality Aramith Balls made, now I am not saying they will not do the job, because they will. But they are not made with the same materials used in their higher end sets, so they will wear out faster, and nick easier.

The Brunswick Centennial sets are also made by Aramith, and they made to the highest standards of weight, size and materials. I personally would rather have a good set of Centennials than a new sets of the balls you listed in the link above.

Oh and by the way, the shipping for the balls in the link do not have free shipping. Below is a link to their shipping policies:

Take care

You get what you pay for...no BS. The balls you show are low-end balls. They are probably fine for recreational home use. If you are a serious pool player, and are looking to work on and improve your game, you need a good set of pool balls. Brunswick Centennials are the preferred balls of most pool players that I know. They are truer in roundness, more consistent in hit and playability. A good set of balls also has a cleaner sound when you strike the object ball with the cue ball. As you improve your game and stroke, this adds another method of feedback for you. Almost all tournaments (and good poolrooms) use either Centennials or a high grade Aramith balls (which cost about the same amount). If you are going to try to get the cheapest set of balls to play with, you may as well stop by WalMart and pick up a cue.

You can find them cheaper new, and much cheaper used. Unfortunately, many poolrooms have closed their doors recently, so there are plenty of good, used sets available.

Thanks for the support guys...I knew somebody would chime in. You need to research price and quality and then re-read/re-form your post. Centenials are of the highest if not close to highest quality. That's why you won't find a "good condition" set for that cheap.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I believe the "low-end" aramith or cent's will do the job just fine for me.

I think what you may be missing (I'm guessing from reading your posts) is that Aramith has tiers of balls - the low end you linked to is WELL below the quality of the highest end of Super Pro's or Brunswick Centennials.

Settling for "low end" Aramiths or Cents, as you put it, is like saying you'll settle for a new stripped down Chevy Aveo or a loaded Cadillac Escalade (they are both made by GM). Two TOTALLY different animals. So, Super Pro's and Centennials = higher priced (because they are made of better materials, and are more precise in their construction), and lesser priced balls = made of decreasingly lower end materials, and aren't manufactured to the same standards......hence everyone telling you you get what you pay for.

I personally have a Aramith Premium ball set with a red circle cue ball, and they are fine (a step below the highest quality, but still better than the Aramiths in the link you provided). I bought my set NEW when I got my table, and they were $50.

I know this is a long read, but hopefully you didn't lose interest after the first couple of lines, and picked up on what everyone else is trying to tell you - lol :p

There is no such thing as low-end Centennials.
There are sometimes seconds that might have minor cosmectic flaws but even they are $150 new
I realize you are new to the game. I saw you say you have only been playing a few months.
If you don't believe us, Asked your pool room owner what he thinks.
You know the guy that taught you how to screw your Balabushka together.
By the way was that Tom at Sidepocket or do you play somewhere else?

Yeah I'm looking for basically the aramith premiums used... hopefully someone is selling them for half the new price you paid ($25).

If not I found some ebay auctions that I can win in that range.

Thanks for the help rusty,

I found them at a billiards store that was closing (about 3-4 years ago). I opened up the box to see the cueball was missing, and the owner gave me a red circle cueball and said, "how's about $50?". I did jump all over them :p
