What you call the 'Midwest' as opposed to the 'Great Plains'? In Kansas, we do not consider Michigan or Minnesota or Wisconsin as the Midwest, probably refer to it more as the North Central area. I mean, in Wichita, we are the Midwest, the heartland of the USA, with it about 1,500 miles each to LA or New York.

And I know sometimes Iowa, Indiania, Ohio will call themselves the Midwest, and they are NOT the Midwest.

...and down here in Texas, we don't consider us as part of the Southwest, Deep South, or anything else, we're just TEXAS. 'Nuff said :D :D :D !!!

You need to update your poll with a 'Rocky Mountains' region, which would include CO, UT, ID, WY & MT (some consider MT Pacific Northwest. Some folks out there consider this area the Midwest, although I'm not one of them.:D

As a long time Wyoming resident, I will second that... Your zones might have been named a bit better...

And you forgot the Caribbean!

(Ok... +1 rep for you for a fun thread!)

Snap-man,
You Kansas guys are sooooo jealous of us here in the real Midwest.

Indiana is definitely Midwest. Kansas is a "plains state" right about in the middle of nowhere.
