Cajun crusher from the Varney shop...

Here is Cajunbarboxplyr's new j/b cue. Like my friend Brent from BHQ says..."there's a story behind every cue". Cajun currently is a tad short on funds as he's between tournament victories at the moment yet he still wanted a great performing j/b. He even requested that it be made from blem wood or scraps in effort to keep the cost down. Well as many of you know I have a kid helping me out in the shop lately and his skills have been showing a lot of promise. He asked if I'd allow him to make a complete cue just using some scrap parts and it turned out to be the perfect project for Cajun's cue. Here are the details. The cue is 60" as per Cajun's request and the forearm is a piece of birdseye thats light in the eyes as it has only one single birdseye...hence it was in the scrap bin. The wood under the wrap was salvaged from an old broken house cue. The shaft was blem as well as it has a few dark sugar spots. I personally like these shafts but most prefer a bit cleaner. The ferrule is the very old school unbreakable fiber material thats no longer available and the tip is canvas phenolic. Heck even the bumper is from a house cue and if you look closely it says Valley. The only premium parts are a pair of aluminum 3/8-10 pins, a bit of irish linen, and of course the tip. The cue was assembled after hours by my young friend totally on his own . Pretty sporty if you ask me...I wish the first cue I built was 1/2 as nice. Well I guess you can't call it a Varney cue...maybe just a cue from the Varney shop. Enjoy your new crusher Jamie!:thumbup:

Cue Came in just 10 minutes ago!!!

I plan on using it at League tonite and maybe get a review done by next week.!

If you are coming to either the White Diamonds or Fast Eddies tournament in Lafayette at the end of November, bring it with you even if you don't play in the tournament. I would like to break a couple to times with it if you don't mind. I've picked up a few cues since we last spoke as well. Maybe you can hit with them as well.
 
If I can I wanna make it out to the Fast Eddie's Tourney.......For sure Ima do my best to be at the White Diamonds Tourney as well

Hey Joe, you got Varney and Wheat confused. You were Eddie's nutwinger and you went after the people who had some nice flamewars with him here.

as far as eddie wheat goes yes i was 1 of his supporters since hes a local boy but after the charlie edwards fiasco i withdrew my support for him in this very public forum little joey, in fact hes making a cue for a close friend of mine (and a member of this here forum)and it should of been ready by now but it aint.
what bothers me joey is that u seem to bring ediies name up a lot,here or at the limp hos forum.....is always eddie this or eddie that....so it makes me wonda if u have a secret crush on him :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
also,since u r in the customer service industry u surely havent made a good impression on me or sum of the pool playing and buying friends i have who also happen 2 b members of this forum.u spend waaaayyyy too much effing time posting crap here at the the aforementioned "limp ho's" army forum but we have only seen ONE CUE that u have made and its a doggone sneaky which i can even make if i had the right equipment:rolleyes: :rolleyes:
joey in closing ill have to ask u this: what kinda of pool player r u? to me,in order to make a cue 1 must understand what it takes to make a good cue.where do u play out of? maybe we can hook up 1 of these days and play for a few bucks......

honestly,i think u are nothing but a 2 faced individual, u talk s*** about every1 including our fine admin mr wilson....
now go back 2 the limp hos forum and give them the link to this post :rolleyes: in the meantime ill be looking for more of the cues that u have made or better yet post pics and of ur cues...i would love to see'em.
