Dale's Cue Underway:

Yellowheart Forearm, ebony point, yellow, brown, red black veneers, ebony butt sleeve with Ivory fleur-de-lis ivory inlays in the points and butt.

:dance::dance:Nice work Rick This cue is coming together nicely. I think the owner will be happy. Are the inlays holly if they where ivory that was a hell of a thick board of ivory. Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see my cue on it's way through.
 
Hey Zig,

They are ivory and are .200 thick from .250 slabs because the Fluer De Lis is so wide it has to be very deep.

Each butt inlay took over one hour to cut the pocket because I had to go so deep, use a very thin mill to get that fine detail. Because of all that my travel speed was only 2 ipm.

It was worth the tine now that it is done.

The owner Dale lived in Louisiana for many years a has been working with me on this design. I like it.

Hi Rick and anybody else who is interested, this is my cue or will be when Rick lets me pay him. I could not be happier with how this cue is shaping up and my experiance in working with Rick during this process. Rick has been wonderful in keeping me up to date and as you can see his hard work and attention to detail is amazing. Really excited. Dale

Dale, your cue and shafts are going to be sprayed today and the wrap will be installed on Wednesday.
