That is some nice looking lumber, Duc

There's something funny there I think.

Humm, I can see how someone might (if they chose to) take that the wrong way.
'Lumber' as in rough wood waiting to be turned into something nice or another word for unfinished wood.
All wood starts out as lumber and at some point it becomes something else.
No disrespectful reference was intended.

Hi Willee,

I knew what you meant.....what do you guys think of the idea of a centralized database for cuemakers. I'm hoping this site will help me bring more work to custom cuemakers as well as increase their ROI and turn around time for a custom cue.

I'm hoping that cuemaker can present to prospect client the option of full splice cue by using our blanks but at the same time we won't interfere if the would like a custom cue from the maker. The whole goal with this site is to market custom cuemakers who just have started or season cuemakers that would like to cater to the lower end market.

Our site, will allow browsers to sign up, select their blanks of choice, choose their design, standard design template will be available, choose the cuemaker in their area or not. We will sent the blank to the cuemaker, who will require specification and customization document for the cue as well as the our customer contact details...provide quote, time, etc. Once the blank is sold, our client will pay us. Cuemaker will then communicate with our customer until the completion of the cue. Feedback system will allow cuemaker and customer to leave feedback on the work done.

We have customers, posting request for cue to be made according to their design and will have cuemaker bid for the work. This will be a cool site!! Our goals is to promote the art of cuemaking, cuebuilder and our custom blanks. We think this site will be a win-win for everyone involved with our clients been the biggest winner.

We will have a campaign setup in the fall that will invite all cue makers/builders to sign up for our program. The main requirements is that the cuemaker send us their contact details, sample photos of their work, turn around time to complete a basic full splice blanks, listing of their equipment used, etc..some details doesn't need to be disclose. We already have a list of 7 customers wanting a basic full splice cues to be completed (we quoted them $350++ to $1000++ depending on who put the blanks together, etc). We also have about list of individuals cuemakers and companies that have agreed to this program.

Regards,
Duc.
