Just watched Color of Money on cable for the nth time and I gotta know, how many pro pool players made cameo apperances in the movie? I know Mizerak was there, and also a few others, but can anyone name all of them? Did anyone appear in Pool Hall Junkies?

I'd have to watch it again to pick out some faces but I remember Mike Sigel and Howard Vickery.

Are you sure Mike Sigel was in it? I know he performed some of the shots for the actors but I don't remember seeing him in the movie. I know he wasn't in the movie but they did use Tommy Kennedy's name as the player Paul Newman forfeited to in the tournament.

I haven't seen COM in quite a while, but I also remember seeing Sigel in it. He did not have a speaking part and appeared on camera for only a few seconds during the scenes in Atlantic City.

Thanks. I'll keep my eyes open next time I watch.

If my memory serves me correctly, he had a headset on in the final big tournament and was announcing the players and results of each match.

If you're right, DM, then Sigel appears twice. I remember seeing him dressed formally and standing around a pool table, seemingly socializing, but possibly gambling, with a few others. In that scene, the camera gave you perhaps two seconds to spot him, so you had to be paying close attention.

Mike Sigel is in a scene where a trick shot is being done in the Green Room (it's in the background as the camera sweeps to Paul Newman).

Interesting trivia: John Carmack of id Software admitted that he got his world-famous game Doom (1993) name from Tom Cruise's answer on what he carries in his cue-case: "Doom."

-djb <-- has the word "Doom" engraved on his cue's buttcap

In one of the scenes, maybe in "the green room", you saw Mike Sigel playing in the background. He didn't have a speaking part.
