Can a 3 piece slate ProAm be moved on the cart?

If someone orders a 9’ Diamond ProAm, but gets it with 3 pieces of slate instead of one…. Can it still be tipped on its side fully assembled and moved like the 1 piece slate models on the Diamond cart?

Let’s assume the slate seams are bonded together with paper drywall joint tape and CA glue, as is typically done with 3 piece slate Diamonds.

To survive the move, I don't see why not. The three slate pieces are bolted to the frame, so they shouldn't be going anywhere during transport.
That said, I would expect to re-bond the seams if needed, re-level the slate, and probably re-felt the table afterward

If it is a Pro Am with the plywood box cabinet below....yes.

Will the seam of the slates crack under the cloth? Maybe.

I think he means vertically on faces of the slate...then glued to stop slates from popping. A lot of guys use business cards the same way.

Dam sure won't hold if you flip a table sideways!

Try it some time and get back with us. The only tables i've ever seen 'carted' have been one piece pro ams. nothing else.

They are not bolted to the frame on a Diamond.

The older Pro's did but newer ones all use that backing board with the adjusters.

Yes I'm specifically talking about the "Pro-Am" which is the table at all the tournaments that gets brought in on a special cart on its side. It's able to be ordered with 3 piece slate instead of 1 piece.

The drywall joint tape is the same as a business card, it wicks the crazy glue and can be broken apart later. Glen uses the joint tape because it has a seam in the middle that makes a nice folding line, so it doesn't fall between the slate crack when it's being set up. It form as "L" when folded and the top leg of the L keeps it from dropping down. He showed a bunch of us that at a table setup seminar at the Philly Expo this year, that I attended.
