Paul Drexler does his interpretation of modern marquetry with CNC. Kind of a mix with Pietre Dure (working with stones).
In my opinion, Black Boar's and some of Manzino's work are all a type of marquetry as well, moving beyond mere inlay by creating images in their art.
I'm not aware of anyone doing hand cut marquetry. With the advent of CNC design, few people do the handwork anymore. Customers expect near-perfection nowadays; I think it would be tough to sweat the macro-action on a hand-cut marquetry cue.
