Wrap is linen. Looks pretty old. The inlays and points are real. 3/8x10 joint pin. Never seen one like it before. Any ideas?
Thanks! cue.jpg

Dave,

Looks like an old Brunswick with an imported forearm...

Agreed, Late 1970's to early 80's Taiwan cue, along the lines of the Rich cues done by Imperial with Adam and KPS blanks - but the joint is not like those. Definitely an imported blank, foreign inlays done by hand. That spot in the clear coat on the buttcap is where the decal was. The joint has me scratching my head though....and why was the handle cut and joined like that? Extra length, warped? Maybe this cue has been re-worked somewhere along the line.

Yep there are traces of a large oval and small round decal on the butt cap. Rich or early Adam was the closest cue I could compare it to. That or maybe Laube. They all have metal joints though. Never seen a cue decorated like that with an ivory colored joint. Dunno about the cut'n'splice either. Probably broken and repaired and the linen wrap added. The cue is actually about an inch or two short also. Actually hits 'em OK surprisingly enough. Decent maple on the shaft. I am surprised at the age. It looks much older than my McDermott C-3. First 2500.00 takes it! I'll throw in some land south of Key West. Dogpaddle Acres.:D
Seriously, thanks for sharing your knowledge. You guys are great.
