I know I'm new at this but I would clean the area and try to fill it in with black super glue using activator
I'm a guitar player and superglue is a very popular way to repair these types of blemishes. Put a drop or two on, smash the edge of a razor blade over so it forms a "hook", and drag it over the high spot to shave it down. It's there a reason why this isn't more popular in cue repair?I don't like using activator in finishes, might work, just makes me nervous. I'd go with black epoxy if it were mine.

CA glue repairs are far more popular in cue repair than I ever imagined!! Everything from small repairs to complete refinishing of a cue shaft takes patience but can look beautiful.I'm a guitar player and superglue is a very popular way to repair these types of blemishes. I put the chip over the hole and put a piece of scotch tape on the end. I can very easily lift the untaped end and put a drop of super glue underneath the repair. My question is the "halo" going around the chip appears to be part of the clear finish that came off with the chipped piece. Is this going to be hard to sand off, and once it is off could I put a small amount of clear coat around the outer edge of the chip then sand/buff to a shine?
I agree 100%. I'll never buy Predator again. If I spent that on a Chinese import I would at least hope for cnc points and inlays. Nothing personal but what the fuck China!
Predator cues is nothing but an import company with a trademark. they don't make or repair anything. they Have "repair centers" like Pechauer and some others, But since they make nothing they fix nothing. I had the worst repair experience ever when I decided to go through those fools to get a repair done that would have been easy except I wanted to have the logo put back on after the repair was finished. I spent far more time and money than the stupid logo was worth in the end. Several "secret location" repairs later it ended up at Pechauer cues for a good and proper repair.
In short Lol. What a surprise that its just tape and paint on an expensive "Predator" It still boils my blood thinking about the year and a half I spent to get a decent butt cap replacement done just to have a stupid predator cat logo on the butt of a falcon made cue in the end.
Don't send it to Predator. That's the best adv
This has nothing to do with China, they are simply building whatever Predator want them to. This is a predator "problem", it's their design and of course they want to build everything for as cheaply as possible, but retain the highest mark up.If I spent that on a Chinese import I would at least hope for cnc points and inlays. Predator is using China to save on labor costs, the same way many companies do. They have expert craftsman over their, but if Predator went that route, their profit margins would be much lower. Not good for the share holders.
Please elaborate. What or who is Wheatbucks?I can't believe nobody has suggested using Wheatbucks to have it repaired.....I guess I been around to long.

Thanks for the Wheatbuck info. Sounds similar to what Predator is doing today, and turning a profit.

Probably thinking that having the name Preditor on the cue is an advantage.I just don't understand why people buy predators when there are so many custom cues available for about the same money.
I think the part where you provide a good service or product may have been left out of your statement. Turning a profit is the end result of good work and good products. As far as turning a profit, that is and should be the primary goal of a business. What wheat was accused of was theft.
