Can I clean these old balls?

OK, seriously....I have an old set of centennials that were from the late 60's- early 70's. For years they were kept in one of those plastic trays. Over the years they have yellowed badly. Actually, the top is a deep yellow and the bottom, not so much. Is there anything I can do to clean these balls without destroying them?

it's been a while now, but there was a thread about this subject. (may have been a few years back). I remember people trying various cleaners and polishes. I've used Efferdent on some yellowing balls with a little success.

unfortunately, the yellow is more than 'skin deep' and I've had no luck bringing any back to an original off-white condition.

it's early yet, maybe the morning crew will have a miracle cure !

It isn't a queation of 'cleaning'. The balls aren't dirty, they have aged.
The yellowing over time used to be one of the desireable properties
of Ivory, guess that's out of style now due to the influence of Crest.

You might try exposing the less yellow areas to direct sunlight to even
out the color, but - IMHO getting them back to original color
is a lost cause.
