I know I'll get murdered for this but I honestly think I would make the 1
and draw the cue back down and out from the rail for shape to bank the 2 cross side.

i used to be able to but now it says i have to update something to do it. i haven't bothered updating my comp to do it yet

I'm afraid that if I learn how I'll spend more time on this effing
forum than I do now. I think I'll just keep on criticizing other
posters' moves.:slap:

Actually this is a fairly common one-pocket shot. Two rails to the corner opposite the 3-ball.

I kinda like the shot as diagrammed, you'd have to be awfully unlucky to hit with the right speed and english needed to hook yourself behind the 3. Though when it's as straight as diagrammed you're gonna need a pretty thuper thtroke.

Here's my memorable failure from last night. When I play my buddy I tend to go into full runout mode, and this is what I ended up with after a breakout.

I thin in the first shot, rattle around and end up in almost the same spot.
I then have to do a razor thin carom on the next ball and damned if I'm not in the same f@#$ing spot. I try for the miracle cut on the 8...
