Good thinking! I'm withdrawiing my payment. Of course that might mean that I'd not be able to get any broadcasts in the future and they're the only game in town. I guess I have to keep my temper in check and eat the shit I'm being fed by bcn.

You probably need to buy some stock in Heinz or Hunt's because the menu ain't likely to change anytime soon.:(

BCN has had years to "fix" the problems with live feeds. Sometimes the quality is fantastic and sometimes it is pathetic. I don't know how much of this is beyond their control. A lot of it has to be bandwith and capacity related. I am not technically savvy enough to comment on how to fix it. What I am competent in is how to "fix" their customer relations issues.

First, a disclaimer. Since BCN knows that there are many factors outside of their control then they need to make it clear that the feed may be disrupted by those things and outline them as best they can, with whatever client(customer side fixes) that they can find to offer. They need to tell the customer that the feed may go offline. Basically disclaim whatever they can so the customer is informed about what "might" happen. This goes a long way to easing the pain when something does go wrong plus it protects BCN a little more from having to deal with refunds.

Second, a monitor who is COMMUNICATING with the user base. That is a person who is actually CONSUMING the feed the same way that the customers are and sees the issues and can inform the subscribers as to what is going on. Perhaps internet play by play in a chat room or on this forum, but some kind of LOW BANDWIDTH, high uptime solution is needed to NOT leave subscribers in the dark whe the feed goes black.

Third - Instant apologies and "coupons" for future viewing. Give away some matches for free to "make up" for the feed problems. This is virtual inventory and theoretically costs very little beyond the intial cost of making it accessible.

Commuicate, communicate, communicate. Don't leave people hanging and they will support you for a long time.

On the technical side. Perhaps BCN needs to call the guy from Spider and see if he wants to offer his services for a cut of the action. :-)
