Cancelling Ebay Auction

I'm selling the Andy Gilbert I have listed in this Ebay auction.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MESE:IT&viewitem=&item=260103099930&rd=1&rd=1

not necessarily for the cash, but more just because I have too many cues around and I've got a couple more just about ready to head my way.

The cue looks great (IMO) plays even better but does have that crease or ding I mention in the auction ad.

I started the auction at what I think was a fair price taking the ding into consideration.

However, I would just as soon cancel the auction and keep the cue, rather than have someone be unhappy with their buy and end up less than satisfied. I have tried to take pictures of the ding, but the wood is too dark and my camera just doesn't seem to be able to get a clear picture of the ding/crease.

I hate people that start an auction and then cancel it. But in this case, am I justified to just kill the auction before it goes any further ?

(Furthermore - that crease came from when Yours Truly leaned it against a mirror and it fell. Maybe I need to keep that cue as a constant reminder to not do that again)

Keith,

You mentioned the crease in the ad. If someone buys the cue on ebay, they are expecting a cue with a crease. As long as you mentioned all the pertinent details they should not be disappointed with the purchase. Why not offer a money back guarantee (minus shipping), if it helps ease your mind?

Buying and selling on the internet does not have to be difficult if you are dealing with honest and fair individuals.

Just watch out for the psychos, Keith... You may want to measure and document the precise location and length of said crease (including documentation from A. Gilbert to confirm this with a letter of prevonance) to ensure COMPLETE customer satisfaction...

Being a bit of a psycho - I resent that term:eek: . Its only when I double up or forget my meds that I seem to struggle, or do better or .........??

What was I saying.......??

As much as I hate an "Auction Ender" - but I am now one:o .

Since "perception" and "expectations" would have been involved in whether I had a happy buyer or not, I'll just have it refinished and sell it another day.

It rolls perfect and plays perfect and with a refinish it will look perfect.

Hey, I'll pay you 375 now for the cue or what is your price as a buy it now? I don't mind the crease as I will have someone inlay the forearm anyway. 3-4mm is perfect...I've been looking for a cue like that for a long while now. The cue look amazing not to mention that it's done by AG. Please pm you price? This is the nicest looking early conversion that I've seen...is the blank original throughout? Please send me an email.

Regards,
Duc.
