I have had Simonis on my table for 8yrs & love it but now I need to replace it & cant afford it..Any suggestions..Thanks

Simple.... work some overtime; sell your car; call the cops..... but get the sim.....oooo......

Pay the extra for the Simonis. It can't be that much difference in price.

IIRC, I bought 860HR for my 9-footer and it was ~$210 or so.

What is your budget? There are many options, but without knowing what you can afford, we can't make much in the way of suggestions...

i would save for simonis whats a month or 2. Simonis supports pool and we need to support them! If you need cloth now i would choose ultra

Unless you have a giant table-length tear on your cloth right now, I'd save up for the Simonis. A couple months of play on worn cloth is going to be worth playing Simonis for the next couple of years over any other cloth on the market.

Was told Championship is just as good. The key words are "just as". There was about a $50 difference in price. Spread out over the years plus the satisfaction and enjoyment don't settle for anything that is a imitator or want a be.

cloth

If championship is just as good as Simonis, then why are not all the pro tours and three cushion tours, not using it, why have they always only used simonis?

If I sold a $20 pair of shoes, I would be telling you that my $20 pair, looked like, the $100 pair.

You know the difference in good shoes, or good cloth, 6 weeks later. Then it is obvious. :)

Championship sucks. Had it on my 9 footer and just hated it for a year. Finally, bit the bullet after a year before the cloth was even close to being worn out and went back to Simonis. I will never stray against the power of Simonis again.

Because they don't pay the sponsorship fees Simonis pays.

That is not to say that Simonis is not the best, just that there appearance on the pro tours is no reason to believe they are. Heck, elephant beautiful balls used to be used in tournament play, and they certainly weren't the best balls available.

Last week, I was in the same position as you.

I was looking to put new cloth on a table in our clubhouse. I didn't want to put a lot of money into a table that wasn't my own. When I actually went to look at Champion & Mali, there was no comparison and realized that it wasn't worth my time or money to use something other than Simonis.

i think the real solution here is old simonis... i LOVE really old simonis..... it plays true (if its still tight), and its like you have to have a stroke again. GREAT for practice.... i would actually prefer old simonis for practice. haha, to each their own

How much is Simonis these days, I haven't priced it in years, but am planning on getting a 7 footer soon and would want it on there.
