No, they do not. They are very smooth and not at all sticky. Here are the cool colors. When I get my new "Rebel Red" one in, I'll post up pictures. There's a lot more detail in those graphics. They have a problem doing colors on the shafts - they're all currently black unless painted. Paint creates it's own set of problems.

Those are all embedded transfers right? Srsly tacky. Why the problem with shafts though? It's not like a shaft is particularly stressed or anything.
So I assume graphics would wear off? It's very hard for me to see the pure black shaft for aiming, although players say they get used to it.
I see "composite" cloth in various colors. It's not like a shaft has to be 100% CF - or does it?
There are circumstances where you might want a glove. I was once in a bar that was very hot and humid. My hand and CF shaft felt very sticky. I went to the bathroom and washed my hands thoroughly. I even used the air dryer excessively to get them nice and dry. I also used an alcohol wipe on my CF shaft to get it nice and clean. And the shaft still wouldn’t glide smoothly through my fingers. So I put the glove on and was fine for the night. To be fair, I’ve had that same problem at that same place with maple shafts.
Otherwise in nice conditions my CF shaft feels slick and smooth every day in that special way a maple shaft only does on its first use. But for the reason above, I just play it safe and still always use a glove. With time I get familiar with it and it’s one less thing to get hung up on mentally one way or another.

The finish isn't exactly the same on all of them either. Some are more glossy, some more satin. The glossier they are, the more likely you are to need a glove. Also I believe they get "polished" over time due to sliding through your bridge, making them gradually glossier.
I do suspect if you're one of those people that never needs a glove with a maple shaft, you'll never need one with CF either. Some of us get stickier and sweatier than others though.

Yes I like fast Cars, but also understand the cost of a ticket, or jail. Plus I am not a Pro-Level Skilled Driver with sponsor paying me to drive fast, and win races on closed safe courses.

Seriously? They are no fad, here to STAY. Been to ANY tournaments lately?? They're everywhere. Its a superior material not a gimmick.

There will always be a market for wooden shafts, but I would encourage all custom cue makers to locate carbon fiber blanks that play to specs of their satisfaction, make any modifications or improvements you need, learn as much as possible about them and offer them to your customers. I would encourage them to design cues specifically built to be used with CF shafts.
I believe that a custom cue maker can make improvements to the current CF batch. The best will be sought after and will survive the competition. There are many ways to improve them. They are nowhere near as good as they're going to get if the cue makers keep an open mind and listen to the audience.

I can go on forever about naysayers and "fads".
I remember when F1 cars went to carbon chassis construction. McLaren was first out of the gate and in less than three seasons every car on the grid was carbon. Look, wood will always be around and have a good following but CF is just superior in many ways. One of the biggest hassles for cuemakers is getting good shaft wood, aging it, turning it, etc. CF is like baking a cake. Once you have the right recipe you can make them over-n-over. Plus they're very durable unless you really mistreat them. They are here for good.

Idiot may be a bit rough but, I wouldn't want such people over marketing. Then again, anyone with a brain wouldn't want to employ them at any level.
It's one thing to be loyal to something/someone but, to do so to a fault shows a lack of intelligence.
