I agree, he is very creative in his play and fun to watch.
there are other WPA-sanctioned events that lets a player accumulate points. the US Open is one among these events. unfortunately, Shane did not participate in the last WPA event (world 10-ball) so he did not accumulate points. i was disappointed as shane is one of the best 10-ball player in this planet, and he let the opportunity pass.
Shane went to the USBTC and won the 9-ball event, for the third consecutive time. Why would you be disappointed in that?
Carlo is ranked #1 by WPA Points. My teammate is an SL2 and was once the #1 ranked player in the NOLA APA North Shore Division. See what I'm getting at?

Seeing Biado ranked #1 by WPA Points means that Biado participated in numerous international events that included the top international fields, and he finished very high in many of them, giving him more points than any other player in the world over the past year. That means he's fricken good.
How much did Shane win at the USBTC? Ko Pin Yi pocketed 40k for his win. Purely from a money stand point, Shane should have been in the Phillipines.

I find it interesting to read all of the threads about it being a joke for pros to play on bar tables. Like the tables are beneath them but when Shane wins then it is "cool-er".
It seems as if a tournament or ranking system is only credible if Shane wins or is #1 in the rankings..
Don't sum up what others have said and what I have said. That's just stupid on your part.
I think professional players should play in professional events, regardless of table size. CSI holds quality events and I look forward to seeing the USBTC every year. I play on a bar table weekly. In fact, it's the same table that Shane and Jeff Ignacio won on (Diamond 7ft).

Maybe I misunderstood your point, but you bringing up your SL2 teammate certainly came off as downplaying Biado's ability/accomplishments.
The rankings are what they are calculated to determine. It shows who has succeeded in the major international competitions. It's as best an objective ranking system our game could determine. You look at the top 10 players on the list and you think they don't mean a damn thing?
