Where is the best place to stay?

There's a Holiday Inn Express less than a mile away that is very nice. Actually, there are several motels in the immediate area which are clean and comfortable. I think the closest one to Fast Eddie's, the venue site, is the Irish Inn.

Hey, Cubc, if I could make a suggestion, you could send your entry fee, if you are interested in playing, to their address:

FAST EDDIE'S SPORTS BAR
1308 PARKWAY DRIVE
GOLDSBORO, NC 27530

Hope this helps! :)

The tournament directory I spoke to said that 9 ball actually started wednesday at noon. Is that the case? because the original post and yours, JAM, said thursday.

According to the flyer, it says the 9-ball tournament begins October 4th, and that the players meeting is 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 4th.

Since the one-pocket tournament begins Tuesday, October 2nd, I would have to believe that the 9-ball tournament would begin Thursday. They wouldn't be able to complete the one-pocket tournament in one day.

I'm pretty sure I'm right, but you never know! :p

well thats what i was thinking too and asked the guy twice on the phone. Maybe he was just confused or something ah well. At least i'm signed up.

Good for you. That's great that you got in. There's usually more players at the 9-ball tournament than the one-pocket event. However, throughout the week, there will be action jackson non-stop. As soon as the tournament concludes for the day, it is let the games begin! :p

We're going to try to make it to The Carolina Open this year. We missed the last one. The logistics to attend for us are difficult sometimes, being that the date of U.S. Open is so close. For full-time pool players, this is a godsend, being that Goldsboro, North Carolina, is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Chesapeake Beach, Virginia, the U.S. Open site.

Hope to see you there! :)

1 MORE MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make your plans now................

Is this a smoke free room ? All so can you just show up pay and play or send the money before ?? please pm imfo..

No it is not a smoke free room. OK, ANYONE can just show up, pay their entry, and play... There is no qualifier, no restrictions, or anything that would hinder you from playing. We have a lot of good players here in the NC and surrounding areas so come and show us what you got. Shaun Wilkie won last year!!

2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!! There is supposed to be a good turn out this year, a lot of really talented players confirmed coming here........

I was there a couple of years ago but I didn't play in the event. I got charged like $20 to get in and watch, and seating was terrible. FYI
