i have built up a collection of titlist
ive just reacentlly got a corom king in good shape
my question is it had a leather wrap on it when i got it and im unclear if some of these cues had wraps original from brunswick i have seen several with wraps but have heard that this was not done by brunswick
Its headed for a simple conversion using a reproduction sticker just wondering if it should be wrapped or not

thanks Andy

I have only seen a few and held only one. They all had the same lumpy leather wrap like the early hoppes had, infact the leather was flaking and in terrible shape on two of them. I have most of Brunswicks label cues but not the Carom King, still looking for one along with a Keen shot:cool:

If no reply bump it a few times and hope it catch's Tate's eye !

Mr Hoppe would likely know.

I have a basket case 26 1/2 that still has the remnants of its
leather wrap. I don't think by the time the Carom King version came along,
1939, a wrap was a "factory" option any more.

I have seen as many Carom King cues without wraps as I have seen with wraps. The wraps looked like they did on the early Master Stroke cues and the Professionals. I always assumed that you could order them either way, to me they looked like factory done.

I think the 1938 ? catalog had a pic of the Carom King and it had no wrap.

I borrowed these pics from the web.
