Carom shaft taper

Although two balls frozen to the centers of the end rails are less than nine feet apart, they still call it a ten-foot table. Well, actually, they are likely to say some number of meters.

grand match 1.42x2.84
and half match 1.27x2.54

interior play area in meters

2.84 on the big is 9.317 feet

by sam billiard standards

I'd implore anyone reading and making plans to own a cue for carom games...

Tough it out. Get a traditionally tapered cue.

Does it feel weird?...you bet it does!!!

(but you'get used to it)

Ya and if you go this route you can make changes.

Its really hard to cut a shaft bigger.

Not saying I'm the expert but when I bought my first Dieckman he sent me a cone and a modified cone.
I chose the modified one. Maloney and Shooni taper.

I own a couple with Ashby's taper. They're similar.
