Carrom game from India.

Look up "Philippines pool table" for a similar type game.

There's also Crokinole.

I really wanted to purchase a Crokinole table, but they are pretty high priced and I'd rather shoot pool anyway. It would be great fun for a kitchen table though. With the game being played without spheres leveling isn't an issue. Thanks for the video, the game looks really fun.

Someone was promoting carrom (puck-pool) at a major event, like the Hopkins Expo. That might have been around 2006.

I sometimes dream of puck-shaped pool balls. In the dream I can draw them. Really.

Ball in hand after every shot tho?

I only watched it for about 10 minutes but it looks like they can only play from their little triangle in front of them, looks like it could be a four player game - can someone say ring game :) That would be a blast.

Everyone looks so serious.

It's clearly a big thing there, when I have some time I'm going to research the game more.

Huh, I wonder if there's an underground culture of it here?

And LOL at puck-shaped pool balls, post them drawings!

Here's a really fun game with a similar flicking mechanic. It takes a huge table to set up, but they do make a pitchcar mini version.
