here is a magnificent case that Marc Turcasso (Matcase) made for my Tascarella. it's mostly hand carved with some tooling work also. it has pigskin shaft sleeves and foam backed ultra velour suede for a very nice friction fit. it also had a small brass stud to secure the lid. the stitching is all hand done, sorry for the sore fingers Marc...:smile: and is wax saddle thread. it's much more durable that what's normally used by case makers and looks better as well. this case is very unique and extremely well executed. thanks Marc!.......

Simon you can pm "Matcase" here and see if he'll make one for you. he does phenomenal work with leather, cases being just one of the things. he doesn't really take orders. he works on a "i want to do this because "i" want to" kind of basis. i'll tell you if he made you one you would be getting a real piece of "hand made" art. he really is and expert leather carver. you can get real nice cases that do the job and will be cheaper, just like cues, but not too many with the amount of work, sweat, and sore fingers :D (from all that hand stitching) that go into one of his.

now about when i'm selling you the Tascarella "package"...well lets just say about the same time you decide let go of Orange Crush!....;)

One of the most unique cases I have ever seen. It is gorgeous. Congrats on a great set (cue and case)

Nice job! That is a beautiful case. The work is very reminiscent of the work that Chas Clements does. Wow.

thanks John. Chas Clements was the first thing i thought of as well when he was sending me in progress pics. Marc has that sort of flare to his work. somethin' tells me a certain future case will be just as nice if not nicer....hint hint.....:D

It will be hard to top this. A certain future case will be in a league of it's own though with the ideas we have discussed. On that score it looks like light at the end of the tunnel on getting time to develop our project.

thanks Jimmy, the case is VERY unique....it wouldn't surprise me if Marc never made another similar.....though i've only known him a short time, me thinks he's too into "creating" new structure and design than repeating them.....that will keep every project "a new" so to speak. that said it's a great design and if he did something similar i wouldn't and couldn't fault him.......though it's very unique i can't stress enough how nicely it's constructed.....after looking over it the few days i've had it, i'm understanding more and more why it's just a gem.................
