Cases on Tables

Im not going to get all upset, I am just going to say to everyone "keep your damn cases off the table". And I'm not talking the pool table. In two places recently almost everyone had their cases up on one of the few tables where you put your shit while you play. Cases should not occupy this prime space. Stand'm Up, Lean'm, whatever but please give me some room for my stuff. Feel me?

Where I play we each have a little table next to the pool table. My case stays there for a lot of good reasons. The only one that needs mentioning is that I pay the same thing to play as everybody else and I want it there.

Bottom line - I keep my case where I can see it. If that happens to be on one of those "tables", so be it. I would rather do that than to lean it against the wall - start playing pool - then turn around an hour later to find it missing. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

Just my view on the subject.

Your stuff?

A cue or cue case leaned against a table/chair/corner is an invitation for any dipsh!t to kick it over or worse walk out with it. I kinda like my stuff and don't care to see it abused or stolen by careless clueless larcenous slobs.

One of my pet peeves is pool halls and bars that don't provide a secure place to set a cue....... whats up with that?? Just a notched board along the wall would help.

I have so many varying opinions on this subject. The tables get way too crowded sometimes. I now personnally use my case as a stand. I like the idea of the CASECLAMP http://www.caseclamp.com/

Now I purchased a portable dolly that I attach my case to and use that as a stand. See some of my previous posts. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=84231While it looks dorky, my cues are secure. It takes a definite accident to knock this over. Folks can not walk off with this very easily because it would look pretty obvious. I no longer use any table, chair, or any other piece of furniture to lean my stuff up against. Now the only problem is my teammates occasionally lean their stuff up against my storage solution.......

Down unda!

Lots of space down below the playing surface. I take my case to each table I am playing a match on and place it and my cues under the table. Never lost a cue or case.

I do that occassionally. That takes care of the case. Where do you place your assembled cues while playing? Again for myself I use my case as a stand while playing.

My break cue stays under the table when I am not using it and my playing cue stays in my hands even when I am waiting to shoot. When it's time to break, I just switch 'em out. If there is a table or rail nearby and I feel it is safe, then I will attach my Porper cue caddy and use that.

Why are you telling us? Grow some balls and actually tell the people you are referring to instead of just writing about it on a forum haha... you might get better results that way.

Why you!.......................

yeah...well, i'm going to put my case wherever i want. if it happens to be on a table, well then its on a table. if you think that the table that i set my case on is YOUR table, well then you have a problem. because its my table and i'm bigger than you.

Luckily enough the place I usually play at has penty of space for you to set your case down, and well, no one is going to touch it even if you leave it sitting right next to the door. There have been times in the US though that I've just put my case under the table I'm playing on. No one is going to get to it there without me seeing them.

tell your room owner to shell out the $3.00 for the cheap brass coat hooks sold at any ace hardware store.. screw them to the bottom of the cocktail tables hi tops work best... the ladies get an out of the way spot to hang their purse and the players get an out of the way spot to stash their case..it works for us...

There you go. We always used to put our cases and any other gear under the table. Lots of room there. What better place?

A real good poolroom would have heavy duty wire baskets on wheels under the table so you can put your case(s) in it.

As far as where I place my cues, I use a q-claw and watch them like a hawk.

Only thing about ppl putting their cases under the table... they are the same people who throw it up on the table and take 5 minutes to put their cues away when you are trying to get there and hit a ball before your match... C'mon people... ya lost! Now get out of the way!:p
