Center to edge an aiming system or just natural aiming explained?

I refuse to jump in and see that madness anymore, I haven't been there in a year or more. They can't get that all aiming systems have 1 factor in common and that is you have to contact/hit the object ball at a certain spot and then it goes into the hole no matter what aiming system you use! Not everyone can use the same aiming system, one of the most common systems out there, ghost ball system is one I cannot visualize or use.
As a CTE user, like pretty much every CTE user I think, we would all agree that you are correct in that regardless of how you get there successfully pocketing the ball eventually requires hitting the object ball very close to the optimum contact point. There are a few people (at least) who claim you can only arrive at that point by memory, or feel, or gut, or whatever they want to call it on a given day. It is as obvious as the day is long that you, or I anyway, can successfully pocket balls without considering ANY of those factors in the process.

Oh no, the CTE discussion is leaking out of the Aiming forum… Given our collective recent pandemic experience, should we consider contagion policies?

.....................NO
A lot of things are like that when people don't understand them. The big problem is all the people who argue against it don't understand how it works. I have never heard of anyone who actually worked with it correctly, and learned to use it correctly, who said, nah it don't work, or even quit using it.

I was surprised that you responded this way,,,,,,,,,,,,,

you took my reply out of context
the question WAS asked "does everyone agree that center to edge ia a great aiming system"
i responded no because EVERYONE DOES NOT AGREE ITS THE GREATEST

i agree with your post above about most who argue against it didnt learn it and those that have learned it and use it love it.
i hope you understand my reply was in no way a disparaging remark against CTE.

I can't even get in there ATM. Speeder got me out and locked the door. :ROFLMAO:

I used to participate in the CTE wars of the 2000's often against JB and others ... as you can see from my profile, I'm in the PIITH crowd and a CTE skeptic.

That said, has anyone ever been able to show a geometric or otherwise scientific proof of how CTE actually achieves aim? (I've been away for a long time) It's always been my presupposition that something visual is still part of the physical world, whether 2d or 3d and thus can be diagrammed or represented in an objective manner.

They have marketing operators standing by.

I love this thread. So many possibilities.
1. Will we soon get another 'upon further review' update?
2. Does TheNatural actually think missing a 6inch pocket with the 6ball is no big deal and his run should continue?
3. Was that vid his actual top speed so he posted the vid where he only missed one ball?
4. Is he a super troll that knew missing a bathtub with a marble would be the absolute best vid to post to get more responses?
5. Can you actually say maximally disrespectful things as long as you say 'no disrespect intended'?

and so many more.
