my son is 12 yrs. old and showing interest in making things in my shop with me.he loves to play pool, and wants to make some chalk holders to sell and buy himself an xbox.i would like to buy some of the rubber plastic pieces that hold the chalk for him.thanks for any help.

just a quick thought, you might try using plasti-dip, used for tool handles and make your own,I was going to try this at one point but made a few leather ones instead.Good luck with your project, the worst that can happen is you spend some quality time with your son.

Chalk box

I know the guy that owns the chalk box and maybe the rubber sleeve you arer wanting. I could talk to him and see if he will sell components of his products if anyone is interested?

You can buy the plastic little boxes , which would work just fine, for around $2...less in bulk. You can also buy the leather 'wrap' style for usually under $2 each.

The last time I inquired about the vinyl ones, they were only available thru import and required something like 1000ct minimum orders.

Got some info

maybe a few people on here would like to split a thousand?????

I talked to the owner of the chalk box and I have some options for you guys. I believe he will let me match the other prices that were quoted on here. Also he has other custom options that I can set up for you like your logo printed on them or another design. Or a custom bubbled logo is also available. He anticipated people would be interested in making thier own and told me that a project kit is soon going to be available with I assume the swivels, strings, and everything you need to put them together.

The min order will be much lower than that for you guys once we come to an agreement.

Ok guys I got the prices locked down. Any orders for less than 100pcs $2 a piece plus shipping. Any order from 100pcs to 500pcs $1.90 a piece and 500pcs and above $1.85 a piece. Logos can be printed on them for $1.59 each and a 125 min order.

This will be for the rubber holders or the plastic holders with no logos or the 8ball sticker on the rubber chalker.

Any mention of a kit being available with all the parts required

pics added

Here are som pics of the products that I'm talking about. The rubber ones would not come with the scuffer as shown but with a black plastic cap instead. The plastic one shown would be the same except for the printing on the side. They would come plain to you.

I bought one of these and it came with a tip pick on the bottom side.
It seems like a pretty good way to go if you buy enough to get the discount.

I can sell the chalkers with the metal scuffer for the same price as the $5.95. That is what the silver thing is in the one pic of the rubber chalker.
I can however not compete with the $2.50 piece because these have a metal scuffer.

Thanks,
