Change Shafts Like There Throw Aways

It's funny, but every good player that I have known hated it when he or she needed to get a new shaft. Most kept there old playing shafts until the last minute. Now today people on here buy just about every knew shaft that comes out. Strange IMO. Johnnyt

Baseball players been doing it for decades. I routinely bought 3 or 4 bats every year. And if I found something I liked better, that would be my game bat, and the others were for batting practice. It's just a piece of wood

I understand what your saying and I respect all of it but there are many like me that that like to feel the untreated wood with my bare hand and no glove. I have no problem in spending for a new shaft when I feel it's time to do so.

You Know its getting tough to actually talk about this and not bust a gut.

Stroke that shaft anyway that turns you on .
If you can wear out a shaft in a couple of years you are on fire.......:thumbup:

Cue sticks are a very personal part of pool..Myself, I have never cared what they looked like, or how much they cost, only how they hit, and felt!..I think many people make way too big a deal of a simple shaft..It is just an extension of your cue stick!..

Unless it is extremely limber or rigid, (or warped) it should not be that hard to adapt to..IMO the weight and balance of your cue, is much more important!..I feel that your stroke will determine how little, or how much English you can impart on a given shot, not the flexibility of your shaft.

PS..I agree with Frank, I could never use a glove..To me that would deaden the feel I would want, during the stroke..To each his own, I guess!
