changing a joint pin

I have a predator protoype cue with a 5/16 14 joint. Would like to install a 3/8 10 brass pin, is this possible?
Would you recommend it as a good idea or opening up more problems for myself?

Yes a professional cuemaker can do this very easily. There shouldn't be a problem if the cuemaker knows what he's doing.:smile:

The job can be completed very easily by any experienced cue repairman / cue maker, it is not a real expensive job, however, prices will vary from location to location, so please do not ask for prices. This will lead to problems for you and others, however, I will say that to make the change to 3/8-10 should cost less than $100. When the pin is changed the shaft will also have to be changed to fit the new Pin size.

Just to let you know they play alot better with a 3/8-10 pin, I have been playing with two wood to wood predator sneakys converted to 3/8-10 phenolic shell wood to wood joints for 3 or 4 years. Both of mine are G 10 pins now but one was brass and played great and it is a good move either way, I use two 314-2 shafts.--Leonard

I got a couple of g-10 pin cues they play fantastic, I was interested in the 3/8 10 brass that brianna sells, it sure is a monster pin. I am going to do it, just have to find someone and figure out if I am going to get two new shafts built or convert the old ones to the 3/8 10. Thanks for your input.
