Hello, I'd like to change the balance of my cue please help me with the calculations.

The weight of the butt is 13.65 oz. Without weight bolt.

What weight of the shaft do I need to have?
What weight of weight bolt do i need to add if needed?

I'd like to make this to 18.5 oz cue with balance of 19 inches from rubber bumper.

Thanks for all replies.

That all depends on how deep the weight bolt can be installed. The deeper you can put the weight bolt, the more options you'll have for choosing a shaft.

If your cue is drilled & threaded deep enough, then you can choose the shaft you like and then adjust the butt accordingly. You do this by using two weight bolts. The first goes in to the depth required for the preferred balance, plus the length of the second weight bolt. Once the first bolt is in position you install the second bolt and it will bottom out on the first bolt, creating a thread lock to hold them in position and preventing a buzz. But that will all depend on the depth of the hole in the first place. Good luck.
