I have just got a stinger b/j cue and I love the feel and control I get when using it so how easy would it be to get the butt on my BCE playing cue changed to the same one that is on my stinger and how much would it cost, btw I live in the uk.

Raodwarior said:A stinger as a playing cue??? By reshaping the tip you will not get near the breaking or jumping action on the cue. The cue is designed as a j/b stick, not as a daily player, you may wish to rethink this idea once you have the new cue.
catscradle said:What is interesting is that the term jump/break cue referred to a playing cue that "broke down" for jumping, not to a cue that was a break cue and a jump cue combined. Somehow along the way the term came to refer to a jump/break cue combination. It was either Shane Sinnot (sp?) (formerly at Predator) or Sid Krause (might be mistaken on the last name) at Seybert's who told me that.
Irregardless of that piece of trivia, I think you're right. He could buy a second stinger and convert it to playing cue, but that doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
