Changing the Rules in the Middle of a Tourney..

Not sure why you are yelling "mens match", but if your are asking a civil question of did I use a shot clock on a mens match then the answer is yes, and more than one.

We can keep this up all day and I am sure you can make it to 50 posts

Maby by then you will nolonger be "teddydog" but a real person.

I am happy that their are people that are this passionate about a billiards in Texas.

First of all, all caps is not "yelling".. When you read something, you are in control of how it's received, UNLIKE if someone is actually yelling at you..

And secondly, if I'm wrong, I'll admit to it.. Please tell me the match/matches, ON THE MEN'S SIDE, that you put the clock on (preferably on the stream, so it can be verified)..

I really don't need you to explain the rules of pocket billiards to me, bro... I am well versed.. The problem is, I think, that I'm not getting through to you.. Lemme try and be clear..

I promise you JJ know better than any referee if a player fouled, or not.. If JJ asked the TD Ken whatever if it was a foul, you can damn well guarantee it was.. Now, Ken missed it, and that happens, but instead of trying to explain to me the minutae of referees, and rules, and instead try understand that everybody is human, and refs need to always try and get better, too..

So a TD with more years refereeing than JJ a been a pro, can miss a call. if they were out of position, turned to hush a spectator or other distaction but Ken was in position just to the right of Mike witha perfect view of where stuck the cue ball, so I have a pulled photo of Ken getting into position for the shot and the shot itself. So fire away.

"all caps" has been considered as yelling for many years. But I see you meant it as a point to say you don't think any men's matches were put on the clock.

He already said he had 7 matches on the shot clock. Why does it matter if it was the men or women's side who was put on the clock?

CAPS is CONSIDERED SHOUTING!!

Everything Melinda is saying here is spot on..

7 matches are 7 matches, who cares whether they were women's or men's matches?? Was the teddy.... a player??

Listen, Melinda.. I've always liked u, a lot, even though the feeling never really seemed to be reciprocated, but I have to say this, so please try not to take it the wrong way.. You still have a photo of Jeremy from the year 2000, when he was a lot heavier, on his profile page!.. Jeremy has never been treated fairly on this site..

Quid pro quo, why don't you prove that you are not "teddydog" but a real person. I have never had a problem saying who I am or hid from cameras.
We can check the streams and other personal camcordes videoing the finals match and see that you had a better vantage point than the TD, all the other spectators, and the video, that shows a good no call.

I came on to answer questions and was not going to engage a basher, but you got under my skin and yes and all caps for multipuel words means yelling in forums. That is why when people post in all caps, they usually post back and say oopps hit the caps button by mistake.

come on out, I run and do cue repair there every week for the past 16 years.

It's funny how this thread changed from discussing rules changing in the middle of of a tourney to arguing what all capital letters in a sentence means.

I followed the matches closely because I frequent Snookers RI a lot and had a few chats with Dechaine. I watched him play so well at the NE HOF tournament and want to see how he performs against the top pros. Let's just admit to the fact that JJ is a slow player. He's a good player, but a slow one, and I believe he's an honorable player. The whole point of having a ref is to eliminate unnecessary arguments when a player exhibits too strong of a desire to win the match. The players make mistakes, so do the refs. So get over it.

I'm sure Ken will take all considerations into account and make next year's event a better one. The majority of the concerns have been addressed. So let's just leave it as it is.

I have said to you before I don't manage this site. I just help with tournaments. If you don't like the photo, all you have to do it email Mike Howerton a new pic and it will be taken care of. Simple.

Having an old photo does not mean Jeremy is not treated fairly by AZB. It just means the photo hasn't been updated. Mike doesn't update any photos unless he is asked to do so. So, the old photo is not done intentionally - lol - Mike just doesn't have the time to search every player's page every year.

There you go again, talkin' all sensible and such.

How could you have known, you were only actually there at the meeting? :D

Thanks for providing a little reality.

Reality check over here!

Thanks for the kudos. Tried to rep you, can't yet - seems I did that already too recently. :(

LOL.. So you're not gonna tell me the men's matches you reffed where the shot clock was used?.. Surprise, surprise!.. And once again, you're being ridiculous over the all caps thing... I simply used it to highlight a particular phrase, I wasn't yelling at you.. And I stand by what I said, earlier, it's ridiculous to think I was..

I guess that the photos of the 1999 Mosconi cup are still around to disrespect Mr. Jones too then. :sorry:

I think maybe he should make the fricken time..

Look, dude.. I think a pool site that is dedicated to pool as much as AZbilliards should acknowledge the fact that one of their top pros made a lifestyle change and lost 100 lbs.. They should have updated the pic, at the very least..

As Melinda said the player must requset a photo change, maby you could send them a pm about the photo change and get it done for him.
