Charity event just got ripped off by a well know pro and also a tour promoter

Where did the other thread go with all the replies in it?
Did it get erased? It should not have.

I'm not sure what may have been said to have it deleted that quickly. I posted on it earlier in the day and came to check on it as well.

definitely pool related with opinions of pool players regardless of negative or positive

Well, someone might have gotten out of hand, which seems to be the usual reason a thread gets pulled.

Or CW made some behind the scenes complaint that was taken seriously enuf. He actually responded in that thread, which is a first in recent memory, so it seems like it must've struck something.

Or the room owner got wind of it and asked that it be taken down, if he felt that way.

Or Mr. Wilson simply didn't like it.

Or any of hundreds of other possibilities....sigh.

It isn't the first time, won't be the last. Caveat emptor, with him and with DP.

Heaven forbid he uses a little accounting magic to allow the family to keep the money raised through the event. Legitimate businesses use their names to create goodwill and improve their public images, not to put a couple $ in their pockets, and to do so at the expense of a family that is battling one of worst things imaginable is disgusting.

And then to come on here and try to justify his profit? Typical.

I remember a benefit event we had in the DC area for Children's Hospital and some AZBro who posted in this thread laid a whuppin down on everyone- for fun- he donated 100% of the winnings to the benefit fund.

That life approach is a perfect example of why the pookster has class and Charlie has none.
