Seems he has not responded to anything in a long time. He has no obligation to IMO but perhaps doing away with this section of the forum would not be a bad thing. Would be nice to see most of the pro's take part in the main forum rather then just these sections anyhow.

I've seen Melissa, Sarah, & Shawn venture out to the main forum. Their life isn't as structured as ours and it's more difficult for them to have a routine in life as we do. If they're not traveling, they're practicing, teaching, earning extra income, or playing in a tourney. I've been on the road a time or two in my life for very short periods of time with various friends that play. It's a different lifestyle. They could easily go through life not being connected to the internet. Most of us couldn't fathom it and can hardly remember what it was like before them. I was actually surprised by the number of players that do have computers and are on the net but I would venture a guess that they're in the minority...

True, Timberly....but alot of tournaments in hotels have free access to the internet....one of my personal favorites about them...I see Luc Salvas on the internet working over ebay all the time...LOLz

When I talked to him at the glass city open he was having trouble with his computer. He also had a loss in his family along with the busy schedule he has been following. He has alot of things he is working to try to generate income. With his computer down and him trying to market his own line of Jump/Break cues (Hillbillythunder), I would say give him a little bit more time. He is a great guy and would help anybody out in a heartbeat. jmo c-man

You could buy him a laptop so he could access that free internet lol I know where some players stayed this past week did not have free access anyway.

Also, a lot of times when these guys are at tournaments, they're practising when they aren't playing. Otherwise they are sleeping!

Yes, he is having computer problems. I know because I gave him player emails through a friend to make sure he made the IPT player's meeting ok and in dress code. From talking to him, I also know he is extremely busy. Hope he can attend to his fans soon. It was a pleasure meeting him.

I talked with Hillbilly for quite a while last night on the phone. He asked me to make some apologies for him. I don't feel very comfortable, but i said I would try.
This has not been a banner year for Charlie. He lost his Mom due to a lengthy illness and really took a toll on him. It has just taken some time to deal with and get things back in perspective. After all, we all "deal" with these things differently.
Then his computer went hell on him and said he was replacing that real soon.
Charlie loves this game and loves teaching, instructing, and just talking about it. He loves it probably more than anyone I have ever met. I feel that this is what makes him such a good instructor. He will be back online very soon and back in touch with everyone. Trust that he does care.

I spoke with Charlie last nite at the DCC and he wanted me to express for to Y'all here:) that he hasn't abandoned us , It just that one of the worst things any one has to ever endure is the has befell him and that is the loss of his mother, from what I could tell it was not a sudden death but one that lingered and he had to endure and I can tell you this ,I watched my mother battle just about every kind of cancer imaginable over a 20 year span and it tears you apart because you are helpless to do anything to alleviate that suffering ,on top of that Charlie has had other crosses to bear and withdrew for a while and he said it didn't help matters having his computer go on the fritz to boot . He said he has just plain been stressed out and wants me to say that he is back now ,hopes to get his PC problem dealt with shortly and that he has not given up and is on back on the poolplaying trail !

Ratchet - fortunately ,I also speak hillbilly and was able to translate almost everything he said ......almost !:D

If you can translate Hilbilly, you are a talented man.
I once wrote in an article for IP that Charlie could make the word "bet" sound like a 4 syllable word,
