where are you located......hes a good friend of mine also here in ga.......please let me know if you find out anything about how he is doin....juston coleman
 
It looks like he has been the benefactor of one hell of a draw in the one pocket tourney. He is in the final 16, and is one of 9 w/o a loss. Don't know if he played banks or not. Also, heard that he was torturing Grady some. InsidePool has results posted for each round.

What was the 'old pool hall' you know shannon/charlie/hillbilly from?
 
ok ..I met a guy lastg year he said his name was hill billy but stated he was from south GA played Shan-D and beat the breaks off him ..
 
Charlie Bryant is actually from North Carolina and now
resides in Houston.
Also known as Shannon or Hillbilly He plays all games very
well. In the Houston 9 ball open he has been pick of the litter over
Jeremy Jones.
 
I first met him in Legends in League City ( he was the house pro ) 3 years ago when I started playing, and I took some lessons from him, I owe my whole game to him. He deserves to be up there with the big boys.
 
I met Hillbilly at the 2002 U.S. Open.
My wife and I kept running into him and had several short conversations. He is a real nice guy and he plays a real good game of 9-ball.

Hope he is doing well.

he is a pretty strong player and a very nice guy. but im sure he doesnt like his name being spread all over the internet. not to be a jerk or anything, i have met him several times at tourny's and through other friends back when i was still playing all the time. im sure he's doing quite well and if anyone see's him again tell him to stop through bham the next time he's around here.
 
I have seen him in a couple of tournaments but every time he played there always seem to be some rule in question or argument about a foul. He is tough to beat.
 
yes that guy.....im betting you aint knocking down doors to try to get at him for a game.....might leave you with a bit of a headache if you test the waters......juston
 
hemi it looks like you've been challenged again and offended hillbilly's groupie...and by the way he might be a nice guy and he can definitely play but he has more shark tactics than anyone i've ever seen...if he thinks he can push you around he will...he was playing a friend of mine at a tournament and losing ...mr. nice guy all of a sudden turned into mr. tushhog with a string of vulgarities under his breath while the other guy was shooting...that alone told me all i needed to know about hillbilly...he can play but he has no heart and anyone who has to resort to those tactics to win will never be anymore than a bully...hell i can't even hold a candle to his game but i've never had to pull any kind of a stunt like that to win and couldn't sleep if i did
 
well i am no groupie as you stated ......just have never seen the side of him you talk about.......not calling anyone out......hes a jam up player and to me has always been a good guy.......just stating the facts of his ability....
 
Yea, the Hillbilly was originally from NC. Anybody know why he left? Just wondering.

And when I say the Hillbilly can't play, i assume most can recognize facetious cynicism.
