Charlie Williams on TV today

I received a message stating that Charlie Williams will be on ESPN today at 2pm. Not as a player but as a commentator for the quarterfinal US Pro Tour Championship. And Sunday from 3-5 on ESPN for semifinals and finals.

Mitch Laurence and Charlie Williams as commentators. Charlie looks great in the suit and tie, too.

Rodney is bald.

They're doing interviews with a lady questioner named Roxanne a la IPT King of the Hill.

I saw Tony "T-Rex" Chohan sitting next to Carmine Sardo in the audience. :D

LOL. :D I knew Rodney had a new "do" when I saw him at the SBE in Valley Forge last month, but he's always had such a nice thick head of hair.

BTW, somebody needs to tell ESPN to PLEASE get rid of that awful background music. It's that same old song each and every time they show pool. I always thought it sounded like background music for a cheap B flick.

This is pretty good. Charlie cleans up real nice.

Looks like they took the format right from KT's playbook.

A nice touch to interview other players and get their comments.

I do like the player interviews and their commentary about their peers. I think it adds personality.

Charlie Bryant sure knows how to break 'em! :D

He's been working out a lot recently too... wouldn't have recognized him last weekend if it wasn't for that giant Rodney smile :)
 
Thanks JJ for the info on the finals (Sun 3-5). I could not find it.

It was a pleasure to watch today's action. Rodney didn't play to his level, for sure, but did Holmann miss a makeable shot the entire match? I don't think I saw a single miss. Sensational cueball control. Awesome playing.

Charlie did a great job for his first time in the booth. He's not as quick as Hopkins at identifying cueball paths and options, but I would guess as he becomes more comfortable in the booth, that will improve. And Mitch ... well, Mitch was Mitch. He's such a nice guy and I love his enthusiasm, so I won't criticize him. I just wish he would not try so hard.

I LOVED whoever that woman was doing interviews. I won't even apologize for gushing. She just knocked me out!

Anyway, I can't wait to see the finals! Contrats to Charlie and Dragon Productions!
